Flyers have lost some games where they were clearly the better team. Sometimes, you need to steal one....and tonight, they did!👍

Kind of a tough game for Provorov I thought.
I hope Raffl is OK.
Voracek was pretty dominant tonight.
TK and Couturier unbelievable in OT.

That's actually a good sign of a good hockey team, IMO. No team is ever going to come into every game and win it. They're going to be tired, injured, or just flat--but the good teams find a way to rely on guys who are in the zone that night, thrive off of that, and come out with a win.

I thought that many of the shifts where the D got beaten -- including that one by Larkin -- started as plays where the forwards allowed free rein through the neutral zone, which makes life pretty tough on defensemen. Provorov didn't have his best game but wasn't awful. He did have a bad turnover. Thought he was stellar on both PKs and also broke up an odd-man rush.

I forget sometimes he’s only 20 and playing his second year. The young Redwings guys play with a lot of pace.

Any Raffl news?

Not practicing this. From there, we will see. It's been a recurring issue. Don't know anything more specific.

Holy poop. Thanks for the 2 points, Bertuzzi. Not that often you get looks that open, let alone twice in 1 game. We didn't deserve that win but we'll take it!

Way to go TK. Head has about caught up to those skills. NHL about to be on notice.

Yes please!

Can someone please explain to me why Lehtera is on the 2nd PP?

Take the 2 points and runnnnnnnnn.

I thought Elliot played pretty well. Both goals he had no chance and were lucky bounces. Seemed like a lot of line juggling in that 3rd period. Lehtera is just like a slug on the ice. I thought Hagg had a pretty rough night. Along with Ghost and Provorov struggled at times. Amac might have been our most consistent D man tonight

TK with the way he is playing is exuding confidence and that is a good thing. Although was he seeing less ice time in the 3rd?

Yikes....nice to get the 2

10 games ago devils were sitting at 50 points, flyers at 40 and now here they are tied. Flyers can not go in the tank for 4-5 games the rest of the way if they want a shot at this

Flyers are also in great shape for ROW tiebreaker as Bill has mentioned

funny the Flyers started on the west coast this season, it feels like the rest of the metro has just really played or is playing on the west coast, I think that has ended up working out for the Flyers. Rangers have a had a home heavy schedule and now play more road games than any other team. Flyers wont win them all but if they can stay consistent, there is hope.

Bill,

Was it me or were there some odd defense pairing in the 2nd and 3rd periods? Did someone miss some shifts? Seemed to be some mix and match going on.

There was some odd pairings for a bit. I think it was a combination of special teams time and players caught out on shifts.

Yeah.

I didn't know if it was that or if someone was getting some maintenance.
